Sony is bleeding and trying to do everything to stop it ....all the companies wants what's best for their own bottom line...and Sony will be no different..
Partnering with UltraFlix has already been disclosed now Sony has unveiled "ULTRA" not "VUE" ( http://www.engadget.com/2015/06/15/sony-adds-...ation-vue/ ) Make you wonder what the heck is going on ? Well If any wants to enter the 4k streaming market THEY NEED ONLY THE BEST STREAMING TECHNOLOGY anything less will not cut it period...
Sony realizes this after seeing 1st hand ULTRAFLIX of what's it capable of ....In side by side Demo UltraFlix ... Wins in 4k..HDR..Live Broadcast...NO LAG ..Best Picture...Best User Experience...Best Stream...Mass Appeal..
Only one Proved and tested by the Best of the Best ...
If Sony wants to Sell it's Movies such as "Spectre" and it's other big names it better get it right.. so going with Ntek was not only the best option but the ONLY OPTION PERIOD...if it wants to win
Hopefully Ntek wins in the deal made with sony by squeezing the balls...
KNOWING what Ultraflix is positioned to do for all these studios..Sony..Paramount..Warner Bros etc etc...
If Sony wants a stand alone streaming service using NTEK License Secret Sauce I say go knock yourself out ...IMO that's a terrible move the market is already moving to ULTRAFLIX for it's source for 4k ...Sony will ultimately have to come to recognize The NetFlix Model is very powerful..
All The studios bring their movies to a onestop shopping arena ULTRAFLIX For 4k and HDR consumption they'll get millions more eyeballs unto their titles ..make more profits by not trying to "RE_INVENT the wheel" UltraFlix is the #1 place and the World's Largest 4k Library the ONLY GO TO Place
