TCL has long been a partner for Roku TVs. We got an early look at the new 4K Roku TVs and Roku UHD TVs. TCL announced that they made 24 million TVs in 2014.
Chad Smith, a Roku employee said, “TCL is the cornerstone of the Roku TV strategy.” He went on to say TCL has sold over 1 million Roku TVs since TCL started selling Roku TVs.
Roku has long been a leader in 4K streaming. Since the release of the Roku 4, Roku offers more 4K content than any of the other major streaming boxes on the market.
((GEE THANKS ULTRAFLIX!!)) Now they are taking that same 4K content and bringing it to the Roku TVs.
Roku UHD TV is just a reference model with no planned date for when one will be released; however, we should expect a Roku UHD TV sometime in 2016.
With UHD content already available from Amazon Video and Roku, and Roku’s large catalog of 4K content
