Pope finally returned my call! Has some big ideas
Post# of 3552
During our brainstorming session he suggested we go the route of a "gofundme" campaign or a "Kickstarter" to raise funds to bring attention to our projects. Now this will only work if we start from the bottom to generate attention to the funding campaigns, using social media and starting with our own friends and relatives. Pope is even willing to hold a teleconference call with those who are willing to support at various levels to thank them for their support. Our CTO is back in school now until until summer, and Pope admittedly addressed his lack of experience in the IT world and various platforms of social media, saying we would need someone who has that sort of experience to lead this project (at least until our CTO is off for summer break, assuming of course she doesn't go to summer camp this year).
Anyone have experience in this sort of thing? If you do email Pope with your info and put "Gofundme" or "Kickstarter" in the title of your email so he knows it's not spam, he has always had issues with spam.
