JAMAICA, N.Y., Jan. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Baltia Air Lines, Inc. (BLTA) Management releases the following statement: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Baltia's Founder, President and CEO, Mr. Igor Dmitrowsky. Private arrangements are currently being made.
Baltia's EVP Mr. Russell Thal is currently acting President. Baltia's Board of Directors and Management are meeting to ensure a smooth and seamless transition. Please respect our wishes as we grieve and deal with this sudden loss. Mr. Dmitrowsky's legacy will not be forgotten as we complete the final stage of the air carrier certification program.

He has over 35 years of experience in business management. Mr. Dmitrowsky emigrated from Latvia to the US in 1976 and became a citizen in 1982.
He was Chief Engineer for Durst Industries. He later founded Booster Technical Associates, Inc. and American Kefir Corporation.
Russell Thal has over 45 years of experience in business management and aviation technology. He served in the US Army. Mr. Thal was Director of Operations, and Liaison for Military Airlift Command for Seaboard World Airlines, and Director of Stations for New York Air.
He founded Compuflight (acquired by Navtech) and served as Chairman of Navtech.
