Atlantic Power operates through four segments: East, West, Wind and Un-allocated Corporate. The East segment includes the Company's projects in the eastern United States. The West Segment includes its power generation operations in the western United States. The Wind segment involved Atlantic Power's wind power generation operations. The Un-allocated Corporate segment includes activities that support the Company's executive and administrative offices, capital structure, costs of being a public registrant, costs to develop projects and intercompany eliminations. Atlantic Power's power generation projects have an aggregate gross electric generation capacity of approximately 2,945 megawatts.
