Right! Investments in pinks for long term growth potential is as much a game of nerve as anything. If you've chosen wisely, the rewards can be tremendous. Problem is, at several points along the way, your nerve will probably be tested as the pps action doesn't behave in a logical manner. It's usually a tough call to predict the bottom without inside knowledge, but even if you come close, at some point it's going to take off and you don't want to get caught sleeping while waiting for the lowest possible entry point. It's more the case with brokerages that make it difficult to move large blocks of shares quickly/cheaply, but again I'm talking about start ups with major upside potential. Better to keep adding and average down. If you hold yourself to pre-determined rules normally applied to big board investments, like minimum gains of 10% per yr. or more without exception, but at 1.5 yrs. the investment you dumped (maybe at a loss) explodes to a 10,000% gain, then your rule was obviously being applied in the wrong scenario. Give the crew of this ship a chance to hoist all of the sails before you row back to shore, or you just might miss the voyage of a lifetime.
