This latest innovation is designed to help distributors manage delivery routes, driver profiles, track orders, capture signatures and display critical order information. By leveraging Infor ION® technology, a lightweight purpose-built middleware, Infor Distribution PoD is able to connect to the existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to transfer critical information between the delivery driver and distributor in real-time.
Infor Distribution PoD includes both a Manager function and an easy to use mobile function specifically for drivers, which help distributors improve driver management and customer service. Users can organize the deliveries for multiple orders within a customized route, then capture, display and store customer information, which is automatically updated to the back-end ERP system. The in-application Manager function serves as the central repository for organizing routes, managing driver profiles and tracking delivery progress throughout the day. All orders are exported from the ERP for the Manager app to designate routes and deliveries. The driver is then able to process each delivery on time while capturing the customer's signature, which is directly uploaded back through the ERP system.
Infor Distribution PoD serves as a strong complementary application for Infor Mongoose, providing distributors with convenient and flexible tools that drive success. Infor Mongoose is an innovative technology platform that allows users to easily design and deploy applications that enhance the core enterprise solution. When paired, the Infor Mongoose and Infor Distribution PoD provide a more simplistic and modern user experience that offer packaged integrations and deployment flexibility for a seamless flow of information.
After a delivery is completed, the ERP system then automatically transfers key data back to the company stakeholders, enabling them to gain insights on the order status. Infor Distribution PoD can display visual maps and routes, capture signatures and images, and alert drivers to any real-time changes. The application is designed to help distributors locate each delivery driver to monitor progress, accurately track orders, resolve disputes and improve the overall customer service.
Infor Distribution PoD is currently available for the Apple iPhone® devices, and is certified with Infor Distribution SX.e version 6.1.060 and higher.
