SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 18, 2015) - The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization enabling mass innovation through open source, today released the final episode of its digital video series, "A World Without Linux," an animated web series that brings awareness to the role that Linux plays in society and gives thanks to the worldwide community of contributors and supporters. The final episode is titled "Free Burger" and features Linux creator Linus Torvalds: https://youtu.be/CE4WeUNFX2g. The series was originally launched on October 5, 2015 at LinuxCon Europe.
Each episode illustrates a fictitious world in which Linux doesn't exist to make a bold and fun statement about Linux's role in our everyday lives. While technology innovations like the Internet, Twitter or space exploration may exist without LInux, this video series underscores how the operating system has accelerated modern day technologies. Through this storytelling technique, the story of Linux can reach more people around the world and bring attention to the developers and companies who support it.
