In the report, Forrester scored vendors across 30 criteria within three high-level areas, including Current Offering, Strategy and Market Presence. With a score of five being the highest, Informatica received the highest score possible in the categories of Data Governance and Stewardship; Data Profiling and Monitoring; Integration and Processing; Market Development Strategy; Product Strategy; Installed Base; and Product Revenues.
The Forrester Wave for Data Quality Solutions noted, “The data quality solutions market is growing because more enterprise architecture professionals see data quality as a way to address their top challenges.” The report also declared, “As older technology becomes outdated and less effective, improved support for cloud, big data, and machine learning will dictate which providers will lead the pack.”
Acknowledging that “the No. 1 risk of poor data quality is that it will negatively affect the customer experience,” and citing today’s “diverse customer data ecosystem,” the report stated that “data quality tools have to account for more complex and sophisticated data challenges at scale and on demand.”
