...seems like QDV left a few points out of this argument that have merit as well......CdQD's aren't just more efficient in terms of power saved , but far more efficient than indium Cd-freeQD's in terms of color achieved (& a few other factors as well). There is also a strong point to be made between comparing the amount of Cd in each display unit , to the (notably higher) amount of Cd contained in a typical throw-away AA, C or D battery that everybody uses in everyday life...I seem to recall having read that in a prior QDV article on this topic. I've seen the figures to back-up both of these additional points somewhere awhile back , & can find them again if need be , but I'm sure you get the idea anyway.
