World-class biker gets resistant infection -- has been through tons of antibiotics starting with z-pac and now on Ciprofloxacin -- a terribly dangerous one for an athlete (or, in my opinion, anyone) to take because of its possible weakening effect of tendons, which has led to many well-documented cases of spontaneous Achilles tendon ruptures. (And, which caused such a severe reaction for a previously-healthy colleague that he is now permanently in a wheelchair, and taking anti-seizure medication.)
