Elo Enhances Point-of-Sale Experience With 20-Inch X-Series Touch Computer

MILPITAS, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 2, 2015) - Elo, a global supplier of touchscreen point-of-sale (POS) solutions, today announced the expansion of its X-Series product line with the availability of a new 20-inch widescreen all-in-one touchscreen POS computer. Retailers and hospitality providers have come to rely on the Elo X-Series for its affordability and scalable POS performance, and a purpose-built modular design with upgradeable components and easy serviceability to drive engagement and increase sales. An optional NFC module supports contactless payment options like Apple Pay™ and Google Wallet™ . The Elo X-Series is also compatible with existing software infrastructure and back-office integrations.

The POS is no longer a static, purely transactional place in a brick-and-mortar store, but an opportunity to create a seamless and efficient experience to strengthen customer loyalty, engage shoppers and ensure fast service. The Elo X-Series 20-inch touch computer features a 1920x1080 resolution and full HD display with a lower profile 16:9 widescreen format, providing more real estate to speed customer transactions without losing line of sight. Its sleek, modern design with IntelliTouch® Zero Bezel edge-to-edge flat glass and projected capacitive technology easily aligns with any interior store design and offers a rugged, durable surface built to withstand heavy-use environments. Its widescreen format enables the sales associate to have better eye contact with the customer at checkout, delivering a personalized human-to-human experience throughout the entire shopping experience.

"The X-series continues to be the most advanced point-of-sale system we've ever made, and the 20-inch widescreen is an exciting addition to this popular, all-in-one touchscreen computer line," said Bill Beaton, senior director of product management -- All-in-One at Elo. "The scalable modular design, powerful Intel Core processor and endless configuration options turn the X-Series into a bespoke point-of-sale system perfect for any retailer."

The addition of the new 20-inch model expands the Elo X-Series portfolio, which also includes 15-inch and 17-inch versions, powered by 4th generation Intel® Core™ i3 / i5 / i7 or Intel Celeron processors. The Elo X-Series 20-inch is available in IntelliTouch Pro Projected Capacitive (PCAP) touchscreen technology that easily integrates with Elo's M-Series customer displays. Memory is configurable from 2GB to 16GB, and storage options include 128GB solid-state drives or 320GB to 500GB hard disk drives. POS peripherals are provided via multiple RS-232 serial ports, cash drawer port, powered USB, USB, and LAN connections. Multiple mounting options and support for customer-facing displays ensure easy integration into a broad array of retail furniture and fixtures. The Elo X-Series 20-inch widescreen is available with pricing starting at $1,479. For more information, please visit www.elotouchpos.com .

With the Elo portfolio of solutions, retailers can easily implement technology that helps them reward loyalty, engage shoppers, accept new forms of payment, and ensure fast, seamless customer service.
