JetBlue and Cuba Travel Services Now Fly to Havana Twice per Week From New York City

NEW YORK, NY --(Marketwired - December 01, 2015) - JetBlue ( NASDAQ : JBLU ) and Cuba Travel Services (CTS) today announced the start of their second weekly roundtrip charter flights between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and José Martí International Airport (HAV) in Havana. The added flights will operate on Tuesdays and become JetBlue's sixth weekly roundtrip charter route between the U.S. and Cuba. In July, JetBlue became the first major airline to fly to Cuba from New York when it launched weekly flights on Fridays.

Since government restrictions were eased earlier this year, JetBlue has doubled its number of charter flights to Cuba and has positioned itself as a leading airline to the island nation with its award-winning service. Once scheduled service is allowed, Cuba will play an important role in JetBlue's growing network in Latin America and the Caribbean.

"More people are exploring the possibility of travel to Cuba with government restrictions easing this year, and we are happy to accommodate that growing demand," said Scott Laurence, vice president airline planning at JetBlue. "We thank Cuba Travel Services for trusting us to serve Cuba-bound customers with the JetBlue's award-winning experience on their way to Havana."

JetBlue first began operating charters to Cuba in 2011 and now flies to Havana and Santa Clara from New York, Ft. Lauderdale, and Tampa. All flights are operated on 150-seat Airbus A320 aircraft with JetBlue crewmembers and the same JetBlue experience as scheduled service, including free Fly-Fi broadband internet, the most inflight entertainment, free snacks and soft drinks, and the most legroom in coach (a).

"Cuba Travel Services is proud to further strengthen its partnership with JetBlue by adding an additional weekly flight on Tuesdays from JFK to Havana," said Michael Zuccato, general manager at Cuba Travel Services. "This will bring more flexibility to our passengers wishing to visit this wonderful destination."

Customers should arrange travel directly with Cuba Travel Services ( www.cubatravelservices.com ). Cuba Travel Services, a leading authorized carrier service provider, believes expanding its flight network will provide licensed travelers more travel options for a lower cost.

Schedule between New York and Havana on Tuesday as of December 1, 2015:

Flight #8803 - JFK - HAV Flight #8804 - HAV - JFK
12:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. 4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
