Look, I am NOT BLAMING ANYONE FOR TAKING THE 99 for $99 deal if you are a shareholder. Understand that. All I am saying is it hurts the company more than helps in regards to shareholders because shareholders already have used UF, or at least know about it, so they would rent movies at $5 a pop regardless. The 99 deal is for NEW users, to get them to sign up and use UF. People who don't know about UF. It's a way of getting more people subscribed.
But if you, as shareholders, want to help bring in money to the company to slow the rate of dilution, then don't do the 99 deal (because the company isn't make a dime on that) and instead rent the 99 movies you would get in the deal......individually at $5 and give the company $495 in revs instead of $99.
