Re: Chas #6834
My guess is that ETrade converted the Minera Rio Cobre note, $1 million due on August. Similar to what happened with COR, but a mess on steroids.

With COR it was: "Surprise, those shares are also entitled to the divi".

With ETrade it was: "Surprise, there are even more shares and surprise they are also entitled to the div."

Same as COR, ETrade got caught red handed when the divi dates changed (spacial divi rules). Don't know if they dumped all those shares prior to the ex-date, or one part prior to the ex-date and another part after.

TA was notified after those shares were dumped, so they were not authorized by CRGP.

When FINRA and DTCC saw the mess, on top of the COR mess, the stock was halted.

Nevertheless, ETrade shareholders are still entitled to the divi as long as they had the shares end-of-day August 18th. Who pays? ETrade is responsible of that.

Note: All these are (my) speculations.

If there's a buyout, the mess is even bigger.
