THANKSGIVING is a time for family
Post# of 1608
Investors are part of the family of NanoTech Gaming Labs, and I love all who are investing in my vision for skill based gambling.
It is Thanksgiving time, and I just want to encourage everyone to tend to their families and their loved ones and to remember why it is that we are all here.
My mom, when I went to go and work for IGT, was not exactly proud of me working in an industry that is so dependent on people with addictions responsible for such a large portion of the revenue generated that pays my salaries.
I want everyone to realize that this (NTGL) ticker is something that is for folks who want to invest in the future of skill-based gambling. It might be the only pure-play on skill-based gambling that there is out there!
But that does not mean that this is a probable win. Nor has it ever meant that. When taking risks, it is normal for the human brain to want to disassociate one's self from the responsibility of possible losses.
Please only risk money in NTGL that you can afford to lose. IE: this is not nor has it ever been a sure thing. I am not suggesting that anyone read into my message that we are not expecting to be successful or that NTGL is not a good bet (as far as it relates to gambling).
But let's keep the talk about short sales and stock manipulation and pointing fingers here and there to a minimum.
It reflects poorly on us as investors. You want to support us and skill-based gambling, please do.
I am the President and I am responsible and beholden to protect the shareholder's value. That is my job, and I am going to do that to the best of my ability. That's not because it is required by law, but it is because I am thankful for the investors who believe in this company and I am compelled to support those who support me and my team.
There is a lot of news both good and bad that I cannot and will not disclose.
Sending messages to me personally or to the company in general I will see those messages. And the truth is that I read each and every message sent to the company right now because there are not a lot of them coming through.
But my time is also very valuable. And as you might imagine, it takes time to make a response like this.
In addition, each and every thing that I say and have said on the internet is a risk to me personally. It is also a risk to the shareholders.
I have been asked in public on forums and in other places to limit what I say to limit my risk and liability.
I have always been a risk taker and I have always been a gambler.
I have gambled on stocks. I have gambled on table games here in Vegas (not much on videos, because they all suck, pretty much IMO), and I have gambled (and come out ahead) in housing. I can't honestly say I've ever done "investing" on any of those. I just simply didn't have enough knowledge about the future to truly consider any of this activity anything but gambling.
On the whole, my entire net worth has been relatively unaffected by gambling. The investments for me personally that have worked out have been the investments in myself. The investments into my education. The investments into the people that I love. The investments into my step-children, and the investments into my time helping people on the internet with zero expectations of a return (and often a negative result from people doubtful for why I am trying to help people without the opportunity for getting something back).
David Foley is in jail right now. And it is Thanksgiving.
And I will tell you something right here and right now. David is a very generous person who cares about folks. This is the most important reason why I agreed to work for David. I took a salary cut to work for David and it has cost me in my personal finances to follow up on this dream so far.
But what I have received for my financial losses is an opportunity to make a difference in this world. An opportunity to make gambling machines that don't suck. It is, I believe, an investment of my time into the possible future of video gambling experiences. It has been the best bet of my life so far based on what people tell me every day.
Stephen Riesenberger was the first person to come to ME and tell ME that HE wants to support what I am doing, and I did what I had to do to get him on board.
That's the first thing to be thankful for. Stephen has really done a fantastic job and there is no way I could have done what was done without him.
He also was instrumental in bringing Adrian on board and we were both surprised to be able to get Adrian.
But both of these guys are also taking financial hits to work in this industry.
All three of us could be making more money, I personally believe, by working at a job in the OTHER gaming industry -- the video game industry.
We are all making sacrifices to follow up on a dream to bring skill-based competitive arcade video game play to the casino.
When I read messages like the one that you sent, it is cause for pause and concern. We really want investors who understand what it is that we are doing and are willing to withstand any short term losses to get to the long term gains.
We are not trying to make revenue instantly at all costs. That just isn't the approach and it can't be for three people to focus on the things that we are focusing on.
I just want to challenge the investors to step up to the plate and be strong and get behind me and my team. I have to tell you that I am thankful for everything that has been done to support this team to do the things that we are doing.
But please, let's not pretend that there is some evil boogie-man that is trying to take money from investors and just piss it away and laugh all the way to the bank.
I and everyone who is behind me is taking financial losses to follow a dream. And there is no, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NO, guarantee that we will be successful. And the truth is that if there were it would not be any fun anyway.
We are making progress and we are working hard.
Please let us use this time of Thanksgiving to realize that if you have invested in NTGL you have the power of me and the power of my team and the legitimacy of our vision and our ethics and our work-ethic behind you.
Look at the linked-in profiles of me and my team and study what we are doing. Stop talking about dilution and short sales and what I would consider the topics of a gambler.
And start talking about helping people become educated about the BENEFITS to the ENTIRE GAMBLING INDUSTRY of these things:
HONESTY
INTEGRITY
FAIRNESS
OPENNESS
We are the only company focusing on video gambling that makes it a priority to enable professional advantage play. IE: we care about the players too! Especially the players who have the ability to expand their capacities to be able to make money through the use of advanced brain functions.
Once you are an AP on our games, technically you are no longer a gambler. You are expecting positive returns, and that transitions you to being an investor. An investor in your own mental abilities.
It is a dramatic paradigm shift.
I want to see people learn. I want to see people grow. I want to see people reading the patent and getting their head wrapped around how different our approach is. How it will make more money per machine than any other gambling device ever created.
That is our vision.
This town is seeing that vision and we do have support.
But listen: if you guys want to consider yourselves INVESTORS and not GAMBLERS, let me ask you to do one thing: ACT LIKE IT!
I do thank each and every investor behind us now and as we move forward. Thank you all so much!
