Confirmation Date
The date on which it was confirmed that an event had occurred. This term is most often used in reference to classic patterns. The confirmation date for a classic pattern is usually the date when the price breaks through a specific price level. For example, a Head and Shoulders Top pattern is confirmed on the date that the price breaks down through the pattern's neckline.
