IT – INET Nordic – Nasdaq Nordic introduces LCH as a CCP on the Nordic cash equity markets (58/15)

As informed earlier in IT Notice 57/15 , Nasdaq Nordic will provide a choice of interoperable CCP clearers in Nordic cash equities for its members on the Nasdaq exchanges in Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen. The purpose of this IT Notice is to confirm that on Monday November 23, 2015, LCH.Clearnet Ltd (LCH) will join European Central Counterparty N.V (EuroCCP) as a provider of CCP services to the Nasdaq Nordic exchanges in Copenhagen, Helsinki and Stockholm. Instrument scope in competitive CCP clearing model remains the same as currently. Both CCPs provide CCP clearing for:

  • Nasdaq Copenhagen: OMXC20, Large Cap and Mid Cap shares
  • Nasdaq Helsinki: OMXH25, Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap shares, and ETFs
  • Nasdaq Stockholm: OMXS30, Large Cap and Mid Cap shares and ETFs
  • Nasdaq Stockholm: Market segments for Norwegian shares and ETFs
  • First North Sweden: Market segment for Norwegian shares

Participant symbol LCH will be returned by Nasdaq Nordic to members using LCH on the trade execution messages.

Member testing in INET OTF

Testing continues to be available in INET OTF. Testing is performed at members’ discretion, but is recommended for members who choose to migrate to LCH or add LCH to their existing set-up.

Members who wish to test in INET OTF are asked to contact Cash Equity Operations, operator@nasdaq.com tel +46 8 405 6410 for setting up the member’s test MPID before testing. In addition, in case the member needs LCH’s support in testing, it must contact LCH through its participation at LCH (Direct Clearing Member/General Clearing Member) or through its General Clearing Member, in order to agree testing practicalities.

Procedures related to changing CCP in INET Production

Members who wish to  change the CCP set-up in INET production are asked to contact Nasdaq Nordic via Key Account Managers or by contacting Cash Equity Operations, operator@nasdaq.com tel +46 8 405 6410. 

Necessary Nasdaq Nordic documentation for the change can be obtained from Key Account Managers or Cash Equity Operations.
