DUBAI, Nov. 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - October 30, 2015 – Research Partners Limited entered into a definitive agreement to acquire AIA Research LLC, an alternative investment research and advisory firm based in Chicago, Illinois for $10.million USD in cash and stock. The price will be effectively reduced to approximately $8.1 million, after taking into account appropriation of debt and other liabilities.

The acquisition is subject to customary conditions and is expected to close by late fourth quarter 2015. The transaction will have no impact on the company's previously stated commitments.

However, following recent shifts in market dynamics the firm will explore whether the businesses can achieve greater growth and create more value for customers and shareholders outside of the existing corporation. The strategic review is expected to result in a spin-off to be named IR Research, a global investor relations research firm.
The investor relations programs are mostly focused on market intelligence for sophisticated investors around the world. The new firm will be realigned into the Corporation's other four business segments following completion of the review.
