Vilnius, Lithuania, 2015-11-19 10:18 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On 19 November 2015, the National Commission for Energy Control and Prices (NCECP) (hereinafter referred to as the “Commission”) approved natural gas distribution prices set by the Board of AB Lietuvos Dujos on 6 November 2015 which will apply from 1 January 2016.
The changes in specific natural gas distribution prices for price groups from 1 to 5, to which the majority of consumers are attributed, will be minor (they change from -2.4% to 0.8 %). The price for the distribution of natural gas to price group 6 will drop by 13.8 %, and to price group 7 – will increase by 21.2 %. Different changes in natural gas distribution prices to different price groups were determined by the changes in the amount of distributed gas, the number of gas consumers as well as other parameters.
Following the reorganisation of the public limited liability company Lietuvos Dujos and the Commission’s issuance of the licence for gas distribution in accordance with the procedure established by law, natural gas distribution prices approved by the Commission for the year 2016 will apply to the assignee of the rights and duties of Lietuvos Dujos.
The new natural gas distribution prices will be announced on the website of Lietuvos Dujos www.lietuvosdujos.lt .
