Asia-Pacific B2C E-Commerce Delivery 2015 - Online Shoppers in Asia-Pacific Value Free Shipping
M2 - Mon Nov 09, 10:28AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/nsx6xw/asiapacific_b2c) has announced the addition of the "Asia-Pacific B2C E-Commerce Delivery 2015" report to their offering. This new market report, Asia-Pacific B2C E-Commerce Delivery 2015, highlights some important trends in online delivery. Among the report's findings is that close to half of online shoppers in this booming region would buy more items to qualify for free shipping. Furthermore, the report reveals that online merchants in Asia-Pacific are investing in offering faster and more convenient delivery options. In the fast growing B2C E-Commerce market in Asia-Pacific, close to half of online shoppers admitted in a survey last year they would buy more items from an online store in order to qualify for free shipping. In Japan, a medium-high double-digit share of online shoppers were willing to wait longer for free delivery and in Singapore more than two thirds of online shoppers believed free shipping to be a critical factor in their purchase decision. Furthermore, the report reveals that delivery speed also matters. In China, the region's largest market, online shoppers put delivery speed over delivery costs in a ranking of main considerations when buying online. In South Korea, approximately a quarter of online shoppers complained about slow delivery after purchase last year, while in Vietnam this share was above 50%. Moreover, India ranked the highest worldwide in terms of online shoppers willing to pay extra for faster shipping, as of early 2015. Online retailers across Asia-Pacific are making efforts to offer faster and more convenient delivery options. In Japan, for example, over one-fifth of online shoppers already used same day delivery by the start of 2015 and a further one-third expressed willingness to use it in the future. The country's largest E-Commerce platform operator, Rakuten, cooperated with delivery providers and store operators to offer pick-up service from stores and delivery stations. Chinese E-Commerce giants JD.com and Alibaba are both expanding their capabilities to cover larger areas of the country with same day delivery service. Key Questions Answered: - What are the major trends in B2C E-Commerce delivery in Asia-Pacific? - How important is free delivery to online shoppers in Asia-Pacific? - What is the attitude of online shoppers in this region to paying extra for faster delivery? - How is competition around B2C E-Commerce delivery evolving in major counties of this region? European Consumer & Small Business Parcels Services: Market Insight Report 2015
M2 - Mon Nov 09, 5:08AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/x5hn8l/european_consumer) has announced the addition of the "European Consumer & Small Business Parcels Services: Market Insight Report 2015" report to their offering. This report focuses on an important segment of the parcels industry: those services designed to carry parcels on behalf of consumers and small businesses, such as eBay or Amazon Marketplace sellers. We quantify the European market segment size, historical growth rates, segmentation patterns and levels of market profitability while reviewing key factors behind these figures (There is also a UK version of this report, UK Consumer & Small Business Parcels: Market Insight, 2015 available). We also carry out an in-depth analysis of the relevant drivers of industry growth. This includes trends in home shopping, the growth of eBay and its peers and the development of new services targeted at this segment. A broad range of companies who serve the consumer / small business segment across Europe are profiled, their strategies and positioning are reviewed and their performance and prospects are analysed. The report sets out historical trends in a data-rich document with over 80 charts and tables. It contains our forecast scenario for consumer / small business segment growth which is based on analysis of historical trends and our understanding of growth drivers. What are the objectives of this report? The European parcels industry has continued to grow, however the traditional business-to-business (B2B) segment is increasingly mature. To find growth, many carriers looked first to consumer deliveries (B2C) as home shopping became increasingly important. Now, as marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon have grown strongly, and increased home shopping has led to ever more returns, the importance of parcels consigned by consumers and small businesses such as eBay sellers (C2X parcels) is increasing. The report is intended for parcels carriers and logistics groups, home-shopping retailers, operators of consumer / small business parcels service providers, potential entrants to the segment, investors, banks, analysts, consultants and other parties with interests in the area. Key Topics Covered: 1. The Consumer and Small Business Consigned Parcels Market 2. Segment drivers 3. Competitive landscape 4. Country Markets 5. Forecasts 6. European Parcel Shop and Locker Networks: Market Insight Report 2015
M2 - Mon Nov 09, 4:47AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/w9d8bm/european_parcel) has announced the addition of the "European Parcel Shop and Locker Networks: Market Insight Report 2015" report to their offering. Growth in demand for parcel shops and lockers to continue to be driven primarily by the growth of internet retail. In particular, the growth of Click-and-Collect' type models which allow consumers to select a parcel shop or locker as an alternative to delivery to the home, could well lead to growth being faster than that of overall internet retail sales. Supply factors are also important with networks currently being rolled out at pace to provide further capacity. What does the report contain? - This report gives a detailed view of the historical and forecast development of parcel shop and locker networks - It includes sections looking at strategies of the main network operators, profiling locker manufacturers and the development of eight of the leading markets (France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the UK). - It quantifies the market size and sets out credible forecast scenarios supported by clearly stated assumptions. - We also carry out an in-depth analysis of the relevant drivers of growth - in particular home shopping - setting out historical changes and available forecasts. - Purchasing the report entitles you to have a follow-up conference call with the Apex Insight team to discuss findings and go through any questions you may have on areas such as report methodology, definitions, inputs to our forecast model and alternative scenarios. Why is it important? - Parcel shops and locker networks are quickly being rolled out across Europe. They are rapidly becoming an essential component of the logistics operations involved in getting internet purchases into the hands of consumers, while also remaining a key element of spare parts logistics operations. - Those building networks frequently advocate them as the best solutions for long-standing problems such as the last mile and returns. - Across the whole logistics industry they are one of the fastest-growing areas and appear likely to remain so in the future. - This report aims to explore what is happening in the market now, what factors are driving it and provide a view on how it is likely to develop in the future. Key challenges in achieving further growth include: - Acceptance of the concept by the mass of consumers, not just current early-adopters - Availability of sufficient sites for more lockers and, in particular, parcel shops. - Availability of sufficient capacity at the sites to cope with anticipated growth in demand. Key Topics Covered: 1. About this report 2. Summary 3. Company background 4. Industry description 5. Market size and growth 6. Competitive landscape 7. UK 8. Germany 9. France 10. Italy 11. Spain 12. Parcels in Poland - Market Insight Report 2015 - UPS, DHL, DPD, FedEx, TNT and GLS is Driving Adoption of Best Practices
M2 - Mon Nov 09, 4:42AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/787q9s/parcels_in_poland) has announced the addition of the "Parcels in Poland - Market Insight Report 2015" report to their offering. The Polish parcels market is still very small relative to the population of nearly 40 million inhabitants, in a country that is in the top ten in Europe in terms of GDP. The market has continued to grow strongly during the period from 2009-14, faster than other major countries in Europe, apart from the UK. Key factors have been the growth of home shopping and a strong economic performance. This has acted as a spur to innovation - in promoting the development of processes to improve the delivery experience, from defined time-slots, to text messages to the establishment of chains of parcel shops. Home shopping growth looks set to continue, creating further opportunities for those companies which are able to deliver the quality and range of services that the market requires. In this environment, industry consolidation has continued with FedEx making a major play to combine with TNT Express and other major networks continuing to make add-on acquisitions to fill geographical and service gaps. The market is more fragmented than is the case in most countries and the entry into the market of the leading international groups such as UPS, DHL, DPD, FedEx, TNT and GLS is driving adoption of best practices. Parcels in Poland provides an analytical overview of the Polish Parcels market. It attempts to portray accurately the market structure, size, growth, trends and competitive landscape. France Parcels Market Insight Report 2015
M2 - Mon Nov 09, 4:26AM CST
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/prh74k/parcels_in_france) has announced the addition of the "Parcels in France - Market Insight Report 2015" report to their offering. The French parcels market has continued to grow in spite of the uncertain recovery from recession. A key factor has been the growth of home shopping. French economic performance was strong in the years immediately following the 2009 financial crisis - among highest in Europe. However, since 2012, France has seen more modest growth and is still experiencing a high unemployment rate which has contributed to a slower recovery than elsewhere in Europe. The double digit growth of internet retail has acted as a spur to innovation - in promoting the development of processes to improve the delivery experience, from defined time-slots, to text messages to the expansion of chains of parcel shops, already well-established in France with Kiala, Mondial Relay and Pick-Up Services having rolled-out extensive networks over the last decade. Home shopping growth looks set to continue, creating further opportunities for those companies which are able to deliver the quality and range of services that the market requires. In this environment, industry consolidation has continued with the top 5 operators accounting for over 80% of the French parcel delivery market in 2014. FedEx is making a major play to combine with TNT Express and other major networks are continuing to make add-on acquisitions to fill geographical and service gaps. Parcels in France provides an analytical overview of the French Parcels market. It attempts to portray accurately the market structure, size, growth, trends and competitive landscape.
