Video Update at sticky #212 - CEO Benny Powell, CO
Post# of 1674
The main points from the video are:
- A hard date of May 18, 2016 has been set for the launch of Giant Size - initially a less ambitious scaled down model, which has a more achievable ad sales target, will be adopted. This can be scaled up later.
- An almost immediate revenue producing product will be launched in time for the Christmas Season 2015. "Pow Folio" - which until now was a hidden project which has been under development for over a year and was going to be announced with the GSL launch - was described as "the Spotify of Comics".
-- It is a downloadable app for reading comics - REDG is the app owner..
-- Any comic producer can use it - it is not limited to just REDG titles.
-- Users are immediately able to read comics - no further payment is required. That aspect is unique currently.
-- Ad supported - REDG get payments as app owner and for REDG titles.
-- REDG doesn't have to sell the ad spaces.
-- Additional revenue will come from users who elect to pay $9.99 per month to not have to read ads (as has proved popular with Spotify).
-- Revenues for Pow Folio could dwarf those of Giant Size.
- redgiantcomics.com is also a revenue producing item - it is being improved to increase revenue from ads.
I suggest that everyone with an interest in REDG watches it throughout and forms their own opinion.
The several people who have been vociferous elsewhere in making adverse comments about the REDG, Board members and future prospects constitute a very small fraction of total shareholders. Some of those commenting may have bought a large portion of their holdings at much higher prices expecting an instant huge profit on the planned GSL launch and are clearly disappointed at the turn of events over the last 3 weeks.
The bottom line is REDG is where it is and all that matters is the future.
I will be maintaining an interest in REDG well into 2016.
