The Company carried 254 thousand passengers on international flights in October. The number of passengers was up by 19% as compared to October last year. The capacity increase totalled 16% between years. The passenger load factor was 83.6% compared to 81.4% at the same time last year. The load factor has never been higher in October and furthermore the Company has never carried more passengers in October before. The number of passengers on the tourist market to Iceland increased the most or by 31.8%.
Passengers on regional flights and Greenland flights were 25 thousand in October, which is 3% increase from October last year. The capacity was increased by 1% compared to October 2014. The load factor was 74.9%, increasing by 1.6 percentage points from last year. Sold block hours in charter flights increased by 28% between years. Cargo transport increased by 4% year-on-year. The room utilization at our Hotels was 72.3%.
