Janovec wasn't around but I did talk to a guy that appeared to be in charge of the drilling crew (his clothes were pretty clean).
I told him I lived up by Laskar Road, had seen what looked like an oil drilling rig, and was curious as to what was going on. He said they had been hired to deepen an existing well. Apparently the existing well was sunk into something called the peerless aquafir and was recorded at about 2 gallons per minute. He said that the owner of the land had decided to deepen the well all the way to the dakota aquafir, that they had hit it and were in the process of blowing out the last 35ft of the 1950ft deep well and casing the well with steel casing.
about then water started pouring out of a 4 or 5 inch pipe coming off of the well top. The water started getting stronger and stronger. I asked if i could take a picture and was given the ok. Below are some of the pictures I took.
Hard to understand how anyone that had "eyes" on the property could come to a conclusion that there is no water. The driller told me the new deepened well was producing between 30 gallons and 40 gallons a minute. I guess sometimes people let anger get in the way of reality
