let's not mince words. i can buy any stock my broker trades via my margin acct. and do it every day. any one i want. however, i can't buy pennystocks on loan ( got to use cash on hand. for most avg./retail brokerage accounts)

there's the distinction

same goes for borrows ( obviously) and shorting stocks
