And, most of the first 12 patients in the first stage of the study asked to be allowed to continue taking the drug. THAT is impressive, especially in light of the anecdotal evidence by some of the patients in the study, and their families.
The extreme nature of the pumping at the other sites makes me think that the pumper/dumper gangs are going to do everything they can to make the share price run up, and then will dump their stock. I have seen this happen 3 times now, and the stock has cratered when the email list of one of the groups went out to tell people that the leaders had (front-run the plebeians and) sold. So, long-term investors with a reasonably low basis and strong stomachs should have courage if the stock inexplicably drops. I'm planning to hold my stock through and beyond Nov. 7. But, my basis is around 2. That may not be an appropriate strategy for everyone.
Of course, in an ideal world, the pumpers would sell their stock before Nov. 7, the Nov. 7 data would be great beyond our wildest expectations, and AVXL would do like DNDN did when it closed at 7 one day, and opened at 21 the next. Now THAT would be poetic justice.
