He is not wrong. The slides where manufacture by BF Goodrich when manufactured. They are older slides that get repacked. You can see the FAA SDR on 07/28/2015 for the details of the equipment that failed and the FAA is calling the manufacture as BF Goodrich with the slide serial #.
