Who in the world would think that a 1 billion dollar price tag is a reasonable buy-out figure if it really is a cure or important treatment for cancer? A few billion dollars ANNUALLY might be a reasonable royalty for CTIX to collect, if it works as hoped.
It's a classic fallacy -- base your "analysis" on an absurd postulate.
Given that the pharmaceutical industry tries to claim that developing a drug costs a billion dollars, why would anyone do this if the best they could hope for was to recoup their investment?
