Faruk is a first generation US Citizen, business expert, technology enthusiast and serial-entrepreneur. Faruk has created, developed and has personally been involved in starting and operating 11 different businesses in the last 23 years, ranging from the technology field, mortgage lending, restaurants, business consulting, to surgical distributorships. He is currently an investor to a Raleigh-based restaurant, and a partner to Aspire Medical Services, a leading boutique medical distribution company that sells biologic, orthopedic, joint and spinal instrumentation and implants. He has worked directly with physicians, surgeons and hospital management, in supporting hospital and surgeon requirements to achieve the highest standard of care, and optimum patient results. Mr. Okcetin has been responsible for identifying and developing broad revenue channels for Aspire.Faruk can also be heard on the air each week on WPTF as a commentator to current events that effect the citizens of North Carolina and the United States.
Passionate about education, Faruk is also a board member to First in Education, an educational non-profit designed to bring funding to a variety of State-wide educational initiatives. In 2013 he was also appointed as a member to the Capital Area Workforce Development Board. Most importantly Faruk is a father to Elara, his 2 year-old daughter, and son to his architect parents, Olcay and Yucel.
