Susan Von. Kutzner, Ph.D., has 39 years of experience as an OB/ Gyn clinician & Research Scientist. Her specialties include clinical care of pregnant adolescents and high-risk pregnant women and gynecological oncology. Her research targeted psycho-physiological maternal stress in adolescents and older mothers. Other research was NIC funded DES educational clinical trials with Dr. Raymond Kaufman and Dr. Irwin Adam. Previously, Dr. Kutzner worked closely with Dr. Bailus Walker, former Commissioner of Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health and helped design the $24 million Healthy Start for Uninsured Pregnant Women’s Program. Dr. Kutzner has consulted with the CDC on DES and PCB studies and the NICHD on psycho-physiologic growth studies in fetuses with mothers in high stress.
Dr. Kutzner has had 2 successful private research consulting businesses that solicited grant money from non-profit foundations, private individuals, state and federal agencies. She is a successful grant writer and consults for non-profits and other agencies, developing fundraising and grant strategies for capital and targeted campaigns.
Dr. Kutzner received her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan (Research Methodology and Clinical Research); an M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania (Clinical Care of Women); and a B.S. from University of Connecticut.
