CBS has 2016 broadcast rights to the Super Bowl. It'd be great if streaming isn't part of their broadcast contract with the NFL. Anyone know about regular season game contracts? College football? Would pay per view streaming be permissible when broadcast contracts are already in place; some years in advance or is that on a case by case basis? I'd think the NFL may be a standard contract covering everything years out but maybe not with college. I just don't know.
As to the additional 400mm. It'll be interesting to see how they address this in about 3 weeks time when they release the quarterlies. Today's PR while nice, doesn't quite answer the questions many of you have raised today.
