As I told you, one of my closest friends was at JFK on Wed. He spoke face to face with Tony and Barry and the few staff that were there. Others were at Willow. This is what he told me: (Lt's post is more current than the info. my friend received but everything else I am saying you already know). Baltia is a real company. They have an office at JFK that is very nice and people are working. There are empty seats that will be filled upon certification i.e. flight dispatcher and many other positions that require some of their planes to be flying routes. The company was told at the meeting in DC in Sept. they will hear "soon". Same thing we keep hearing. Unfortunately Baltia could not get a definition of soon. They were advised not to push or prod the FAA because it will not help. Nobody likes to be passive but apparently it's not to their benefit to call everyday and say "what's going on guys where is our decision." They really want to do that and they really want to put out a PR but unfortunately they can't. You all know why whether it makes sense or not. My friend got the feeling by talking with them that they are extremely excited for the future and are even more impatient than every single one of us shareholders or possibly all of us combined. You may be dreaming of $10s or $100s of thousands and possibly a few million. Baltia as a company are dreaming of $100s of millions and Billions although they did not say that directly. They just told them where they expect to be as a company upon certification. They reiterated to my friend that their plan is not to fly one plane around and make money just with the existing 747. Their plan is to expand their fleet and target areas in the US. where Eastern European populations and travel to that region is expanding. Unfortunately, they did not mention a secret mini or R1 deployment unless something changed since Wed. When they get the word, they will be ready and we will know almost instantly. They will sprint full speed to the PR machine. Despite what some people are saying on both boards, they care very much for the shareholders and know our frustrations more than you can imagine. They couldn't be more aware if you beat each of them on the head with a hammer. They want for us what they want for themselves. Proving flights, cert. and a massive expansion in a business with very high barriers to entry. All that will lead to $$$$ for all. On a final note, they did not specify how, but upon certification, they believe financing expansion will not be an issue. You know all this already. Just read spekulator's posts. There's nothing more they can say other than "still waiting". Thankfully LT's post gives us hope that things are speeding up. I do not speak for the company. Just sharing his experience and thoughts as were told to me.
