I will risk the complete idiot possibility as well and weigh in on your comment about the DTCC having all info with the TA - Signature Stock Transfer to my knowedge is the only TA that retired from the DTCC and yet continues to operate, retiring in July 2014.

Is it possible that the DTCC might not have all the relevant data regarding the issuances of CRGP, so if indeed the judge appoints a receiver who requests a post dividend adjustment, that the DTCC would reply to the court that they need additional info from SST, who happens to be a defendant in the case.
