To answer a few questions: 1. No need to read

1. No need to read between the lines, what I am saying is that Baltia's situation is unique and not Baltia's fault, but rather due to a change in the certification regulations that has caused this major FUBAR, but that now the situation is being looked at by the highest personnel, and these people are known to get things done.
2. The 747 has arguably the longest and most reliable safety record out of any plane ever built......and the slide issue is an INDUSTRY wide problem that doesn't just involve the 747s. Further, there is a very high probability that Baltia has....during this process....uncovered the cause of the problem AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, discovered a SOLUTION for the FAA. This does speak volumes when in the hands of the right, get things done kind of people.
3. Baltia is expecting a favorable decision to come at any time.....and when it does....they are going to have to be ready for Proving Flights literally "at the drop of a hat." So yes.....they have an extremely high priority to keep the plane (and their staff) ready to go on very short notice.
