I don't think anyone at the time (almost 90 days ago) would have thought that the decision on this mini, with 1 slide malfunction, after a correct and successful deployment, would've taken more than a couple weeks and we would be on our way to proving runs. Worst case would require an R1 deployment, ditching and proving runs. I'm sure some are looking back now and thinking, maybe just moving on to mini #8 would've been a better path. But they have to make the best, most logical decision they can based on the information and experiences they have at the time. I thought, at the time that providing the FAA with the FAR verbiage which allows for "vendor supplied equipment" to malfunction and still judge the mini a pass would seal the deal. Now, I guess it didn't. I'm still hopeful a decision will be rendered soon. As I've stated before, hundreds, eventually thousands of jobs and hundreds of millions of $$ in revenues are being held hostage by a Govt agency that won't make a decision and is working harder at covering their own asses than doing their jobs!!
