I just barely learned about this board and just had signed up for it. So, some of you guys may know me from the other board.
Depending on the size of the case, the unwritten rule while working for Boeing with FAA was that the standard response would be 60 days. That does not indicate a deadline.
However, for this case on the Mini-evacuation demonstration, a response should be within 10 days. But given the problem with the slide that twisted caused by an FAA Approved Slide Kit, put the FAA in a bad spot. So, my experiences tells me that FAA would request an investigation with the supplier, and show test results of the cause of a slide being twisted, then determine the corrective action. That does take time.
But I do admit that it is taking way too long on this size of a case. I still remain the 60 days, and I assume that October 22nd would be the day we hear something...but THAT is just an assumption on my part.
I do not work for Baltia or have any direct relationship with the staff or owner. I am just impressed with their dedication, thus why I invest in this company.
