Actually Deltasaint I have done my homework...after working for a legacy carrier for 33 yrs. and working with the FAA in the training dept. at various times over the years I learned a few rules of the road. Unless the training manuals have been approved there can be no training and the those training manuals are usually wrapped in the the whole manual package plus Baltia needs an official blessing from the FAA to run a ground school...there is no cherry picking of when training can start.
And yes the the FAA certainly does have a say in what Baltia does for their hiring process...the pre-hiring drug and alcohol testing...pilot requirements, background checks, etc. are all in the manual package of how Baltia conducts their hiring practices plus ongoing drug and alcohol, recurrency training, line checks, etc.... maybe Baltia has "hired" some people, but I guarantee they aren't camped out at a training dept. or sim center. FA's can be anybody, but there are new requirements for hiring cabin crews...9/11 changed that.
From what I have seen and read over the last year and half along with "playing with some Baltia stock" calling Baltia headquarters quite frankly is like asking Bernie Madoff for financial advice. There has been a lot of manipulation on this board plus phantom Baltia management doing posting on the board...no one ever wants to hear bad news...gotta keep that stock price up!
Maybe they get it done, but this company will go down in history of how not to start an airline...yes, some rules have changed for getting approved, but they have been shot down once and maybe with a little help from Kalitta they may get it done...I'm not taking that bet...good luck
