I agree, but I rarely get much water from that little piece of ice since it normally doesn't even break free from the bottom of the glass before the glass is empty. I do them both ways. The water frozen in the bottom is just a habit from the routine used for filtered water. I wouldn't care to pour it onto a bunch of crushed ice, watering it down is not a good idea. I use crushed ice in a Piña colada mix using fresh frozen pineapple and cream of coconut, some pineapple juice and rum. With the fresh pineapple frozen just for the drink mix, not that much ice is really needed and would be just right. I might try making little pineapple juice ice cubes. That drink is kind of sweet though, I don't drink sweet drinks much any more, but the coconut lime with stevia is perfect cause it doesn't leave you all sugared up.
