A new licensing agreement with A&E Networks will offer UltraFlix users three top 2015 TV Series and an Lifetime original movie in stunning 4K. Starting this fall, UltraFlix will begin streaming History Channels Award Winning Sons of Liberty, Lifetime’s Critics Choice for The Most Exciting New Series of 2015, Unreal, the highly acclaimed mini-series, The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe and a Lifetime Original Award Winning Movie, Whitney. This exciting agreement will nicely compliment the ever growing 4K library of top Hollywood movies, further establishing UltraFlix as the leading provider of the best quality content of any streaming network.
Nanotech’s 4K Studios (Hollywood, San Francisco) were evaluated and chosen to create the 4K master files for A&E, starting with the titles announced with this agreement. 4K studio’s 4K film scanning, color correction, noise filtering and patent pending fractal up-scaling processes have been utilized in the re-mastering of dozens of stunning 4K movies, documentaries, concerts and now, award winning TV series. 4K Studios completes the 4K file mastering process with their home-brewed superior quality video encoding workflow, which is highly scalable and programmable within Google’s cost effective cloud computing engines.
One of the key forces driving this market is the ability to deliver the best possible viewer experience. With enhanced video compression, adaptive streaming and intelligent bandwidth management technologies, UltraFlix can stream visually lossless UHD video with uninterrupted viewing at 4Mbps, making the highest quality streaming experience available to most North American and European internet subscribers today.
"A&E Networks original TV series and movies have continued to amass industry awards and rapidly growing viewership over the past several years and we’re absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to be working with them to re-master and offer them in 4K on the UltraFlix Network,” said Aaron Taylor, NanoTech's Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “Our mission always has been, and continues to be, the delivery of the most visually stunning movies, music, documentaries and award-winning television series.”
