this is actually a good point. For several years I was in administration in he skilled nursing industry. We worked with the Feds regularly, but obviously not the FAA. A good portion of our reimbursement comes from the federal government (Medicare). There are times where there are delays in that reimbursement. Often as the countries new budget is approaching or not yet approved. Anyway, when that happens. We were told we could request immediate assistance and were specifically directed to use the terminology that the delay was causing our "small business" a financial hardship" that if not corrected immediately will result in loss of employment for current employees. They said if worded that way they had processes that allow for the "little guy" to get paid outside of the hold on reimbursement for the rest of the industry. I realize its apples and oranges. But our facility on more than one occasion took this option and I recall we were paid on at least 2 occasions within 10 days of alerting them to the concern.
