Madison County, New York, has issued a draft Request For Proposals (RFP) dated Sept. 30, 2015, to request comments from companies that are interested in developing a facility in the county’s Agriculture and Renewable Energy (ARE) Park located in the town of Lincoln at the county’s landfill site on that “will use nonrecyclable plastic material from Madison County and elsewhere to produce oil products.”
A link to the draft RFP is available at this link or by contacting Kipp Hicks, director, Madison County Industrial Development Agency (IDA), 3215 Seneca Turnpike, Canastota, New York 13032, or by calling 315-697-9817, faxing 315-697-8169 or emailing director@madisoncountyida.com.
A preproposal conference and site visit will be conducted at 10 a.m. Oct. 28, 2015. Comments on this Draft RFP must be submitted in writing by 3:00 p.m. Dec. 15, 2015 to Hicks. A final RFP is expected to be issued in January 2016. Written proposals submitted in response to that final RFP are expected to be required from interested companies by March 1, 2016.
Dates may be changed in the final RFP and a separate public notice will be issued for the final RFP prior to its issuance.
