Quasar Applies to Be an FAA CATS Testing Center and Schedules Conference Call

2012-04-24 10:00 ET - News Release

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 04/24/12

Quasar Aerospace Industries, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: QASP) and its subsidiary A-Cent Aviation, Inc., (A-Cent) is proud to announce that it is expanding its Computer Assisted Testing Service (CATS) located in Colorado Springs, Colorado to its Jacksonville, Florida location. CATS allows A-Cent to administer the highest quality computer-based knowledge examinations within a quiet and conducive testing environment that is under strict security controls. A-Cent's CATS facilities provide candidates with conveniently located test sites and its Herlong Airport site is the only CATS facility in the local area.

This will permit A-Cent to gain visibility to the community, potential students and investors as well as earn additional capital by gaining additional visibility to students in training. A-Cent and Atlantic Aviation, Inc. will no longer have a need to outsource its flight students' aviation examinations. CATS will allow our flight schools to become a one stop shop for aviation certification and further distinguish our flight training schools from others.

Computer Assisted Testing Service, Inc. (CATS) is a privately owned corporation which was incorporated in 1988. Its founders were aviation professionals involved in flight training including simulators, air charter, and Fixed Base Operators at local airports. In 1991, CATS welcomed the opportunity to broaden its business services to the aviation community as the Federal Aviation Administration was looking to computerize its Airmen and Mechanics knowledge based examinations. CATS developed the software, and hardware configurations for the administration of 70 different exams. CATS was selected as one of only three FAA Computer Testing Designees in the world. By 1994, CATS had enough test center area coverage to be able to administer tests for a Federal Communications Commission Cole Manager. CATS currently has over 400 geographically distributed testing locations worldwide. CATS overseas centers include Puerto Rico, Guam, Germany, South Korea, and Japan. A-Cent Aviation, Inc. is proud to be one of those selected locations.

The 2012 First Coast School Expo was a great success! http://www.news4jax.com/news/-/475880/1152668...index.html. Hundreds of families attended seeking education and career opportunities. A-Cent was able to connect one-on-one with potential students, investors, partners and providers who want to work with A-Cent by directing flight training students and opportunities to us. In addition, A-Cent was approach by numerous aviation mechanics and flight instructors seeking employment with subsidiaries of Quasar. The visibility and contacts made during this Expo will benefit Quasar and its subsidiaries. A-Cent was able to introduce to the community, educational institutional and businesses the only local Cessna Pilot Center and CATS testing facility which is capable of facilitating tests for various career programs.
