We've seen 23-56% short sales. I still say, if much of this were "legit" very temporary short sales by market makers in order to make the market run smoothly, and covered quickly, then why would the percentage vary so much from day to day? And why would people experience long delays in getting an order filled even when they go in at the ask (if someone is asking a certain price, presumably there should be SOME supply at that level, right?) -- and what about those 100 share lots that people see their orders getting filled in sometimes?

So we still haven't figured out exactly what's going on with this number, but for 55% to be supposedly selfless market makers keeping the thinly-traded market running smoothly -- nope, I don't buy it.

And, note that more than 35% of today's 104,000 share volume came in less that 15 minutes, just before and a bit after 2:00.

Saying that there is anything normal about this kind of trading is utter BS.
