Just have fidelity ask for all aspects of the Share structure (AS, OS, Restricted, Float) along with a "as of date" to make sure you/we know it is as of.
What worked for me to get them to perform the exception was very mentioning unusual circumstances. There are plenty with this stock and keeps growing: 7x pps divy payment (25% rule), crazy big AS increases, Halt, trading on Grays, merge to private. Also tell them that the TA isn't gagged but rather is overwhelmed by joe retailer inquiries that they are only giving the info to broker emails. That is the truth as well
At the end of the day, if your broker can make make a simple request given the above, even if it isn't there normal list of things to do, they should be ashamed of themselves and look in the mirror as to why they even allow the trading of OTC stocks.
Sorry for the rant and mentioned mostly of what you know already. It just burns me up that these discount brokers aren't willing to do a simple request.
