When you look at a JAZZ chart, you see that a skilled trader could have made a killing jumping in and out of the stock.
The problem is I'm not a skilled enough trader, second-guess myself etc. I looked at JAZZ at 29, said to a colleague in a trading room, "It's over-priced" and sure enough it dropped back to the teens.. Did I buy? Of course not. Then..... zoom. Gah.
Easier said than done for most of us, to trade some of the shares. I certainly would always want to have a large percentage as a core position, in case some great news like a partnership comes at an unexpected time.
personally I'm not planning to sell any until 10, and then just 5-10%.
