The best QD efficiency I've seen referenced is in the neighborhood of 9% , and although there are other LCOE factors to consider , that is still a good-enough number compared to 7%. There are a multitude of apps that flex thinfilm solar could be used on...I've always been kind of keen on the idea of using this tech as an overlay-upgrade onto existing solar modules that are already outdated or have come to the end of their lifespan. Seems like that could be an increasingly & phenomenally lucrative market as time goes by.
