To people that say, "What shorts???"
Shorting legally is super expensive and not worth it. Even though we had 100 to 125 MILLION shares shorted LEGALLY August 23 and the 24th right before the halt.
COR got hit with a due bill to pay on shorted shares (i.e. they had to pay the divvy on those shares.). COR has a tight connection with Etrade. Google it.
They are well known for naked shorting which is ILLEGAL. As a broker you list a fake short position selling shares at .0025 when the stock is .003 in example. When the stock drops, inevitably, to say .002 That broker collects the difference on shares that never existed.
No wonder Etrade is the ONLY firm placing holds on the divvy.
They need money to cover this short position.
It is still speculation at this point.
