Carl Icahn Eyes Potential in Cheniere Energy (LNG)

According to a regulatory filing made with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), funds controlled by billionaire investor Carl Icahn now hold 22,682,159 shares of Cheniere Energy, Inc. (LNG), or about 9.59% stake in the company, having raised its stake from 8.18% in August.
LNG reported a net loss of ($118.5) million, or ($0.52) per share (basic and diluted) for the three months ended June 30, 2015, compared to a net loss of ($201.9) million, or ($0.90) per share (basic and diluted) in the same period the prior year
LNG is a Houston-based energy company primarily engaged in LNG-related businesses and owns and operates the Sabine Pass LNG terminal and Creole Trail Pipeline in Louisiana.
