For those as unfamiliar with the process as I, can anyone enlighten us as to the amount of ppw, documentation, etc... the FAA is pouring through for the decision? Essentially I'm asking, is there any real excuse for the delay? Is Baltia's "file" a 500 page stack of documentation they have to comb through? Are there other such files, stacks and stacks of other airline's certification work they had to complete before ours? I can't imagine there are many (maybe a dozen?) airlines going through certification in step 3, so I'm trying to find a reason to temper my frustration with the FAA timeline.
