Your favourite Nickelodeon cartoons could be making a big-screen comeback

Get ready for what could be the most amazing crossover project in recent memory, as all your favourite Nickelodeon cartoons might be coming together for a movie.

Childhood favourites such as Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Ren & Stimpy and Angry Beavers could be combining forces for team-up film Nicktoons.

According to The Tracking Board, stars of the '90s Nickelodeon universe are set to feature in an "Avengers-esque" film inspired by crossover movies Space Jam, The Lego Movie, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Wreck-It Ralph.

The picture is reportedly being overseen by Mary Parent, who produced The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.

A writer is still being sought for the project.

The news ties in with reports last week that Nickelodeon is planning to reboot some of its classic shows.
